Riz Ahmeds vertolking in Sound of Metal van het Belgische productiehuis Caviar kwam al op verschillende eindejaarslijstjes voor en is ook door Entertainment Weekly uitgeroepen tot een van de vijftien beste acteerprestaties in een 2020-film.

Sound of Metal is te zien op de streamingdienst Amazon Prime, die ook met de vertolkingen van Maria Bakalova in Borat Subsequent Moviefilm en Kingsley Ben-Adir in One Night in Miami het lijstje haalt.

Ook Netflix doet het goed met vermeldingen van Jessie Buckley in I’m Thinking of Ending Things, Viola Davis in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Delroy Lindo in Da 5 Bloods en Amanda Seyfried in Mank.
