De Amerikaanse filmticketservice Fandango heeft gepeild naar de films van 2020 waar het meest naar uitgekeken wordt. De top vier bestaat opvallend uit films van vrouwelijke regisseurs.

Het gaat om Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman 1984, Cate Shortlands Black Widow, Chloé Zhao’s Eternals en Niki Caro’s Mulan. Cathy Yans Birds of Prey haalde eveneens de top tien.

Wonder Woman 1984 scoorde ook het hoogst in de categorieën actrice (Gal Gadot), acteur (Chris Pine) en slechterik (Kristen Wiggs Cheetah) waar het meest naar uitgekeken wordt. Mulan kwam dan weer als winnaar uit de bus wat de familiefilms betreft.
