Op 16 mei zijn de 2021-MTV Movie & TV Awards uitgereikt. De prijs voor Beste Film ging naar To All the Boys: Always and Forever, het derde deel in de To All the Boys-trilogie.

Marvel werd de grote winnaar van de avond. WandaVision won Beste Serie, Beste Performance in een Serie (Elizabeth Olsen), Beste Slechterik (Kathryn Hahn) en Beste Gevecht (Wanda vs. Agatha) en The Falcon and the Winter Soldier won Beste Held (Anthony Mackie) en Beste Duo (Anthony Mackie en Sebastian Stan).

Verder kreeg Chadwick Boseman (Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom) postuum de award voor Beste Performance in een Film nadat hij in de Oscarcategorie Beste Acteur verloor.
