Jennifer Aniston heeft al gestemd voor Joe Biden en Kamala Harris in de Amerikaanse presidentsverkiezingen en raadt haar 37,5 miljoen Instagram-volgers aan hetzelfde te doen. “Ik heb voor hen gestemd omdat ons land verdeelder is dan ooit,” schrijft ze.

“Momenteel beslist een handvol mannelijke leiders wat vrouwen mogen doen met hun eigen lichamen,” vervolgt ze. “Onze huidige president heeft beslist dat racisme geen probleem is en herhaaldelijk wetenschap genegeerd. Er zijn teveel mensen gestorven.”

Aniston roept op om na te denken wie er het meeste zal geraakt zijn als Donald Trump wordt herverkozen: vrouwen, de LGBTQ- en Afro-Amerikaanse gemeenschap, oudere mensen met gezondheidsproblemen en de toekomstige generaties.

“Stem voor gelijke mensenrechten, liefde en degelijkheid,” schrijft ze en voegt eraan toe dat stemmen op Kanye West, die opkomt in Californië niet grappig is. “Weest alsjeblieft verantwoordelijk.”
