James Gunn heeft de berichten bevestigd dat Will Poulter (The Maze Runner, Midsommar) gecast is als Adam Warlock in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Adam Warlock is een kosmische superfiguur wiens MCU-intrede reeds werd geteased in een post-credits-scène van Gunns Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

“Welkom in de Guardians-familie, Will Poulter,” tweet Gunn. Hij is een geweldige acteur en een schitterende kerel. Tot binnen een paar weken.”

Gunn begint binnenkort aan de opnames van de Guardians of the Galaxy-threequel en heeft ook onthuld dat zijn The Suicide Squad-componist John Murphy de score aan het schrijven is. De muziek van de eerste twee Guardians of the Galaxy-films werd verzorgd door Tyler Bates.
