Since I had a kid I've kept running shoes and water next to my bed and also in my car. The running shoes had never occurred to me before, I guess? I think it's a good thing to do, is what I'm saying, even if you don't have a kid. Also. I bought those earthquake kits from Amazon.

Also. Every year for our kids school, we have to make each of them an earthquake kit and include a letter telling them how much we love them and not to worry cause we will see them soon and I have never not once done that part without sobbing.

About 30-40 seconds into this temblor… which is a seriously long time if the Earth is roiling in waves underneath you. #EarthquakeLA

The quake was very strong in my area. This one seems like it might have left a lot of damage. I’m hoping everyone can stay safe.

Woah, that was a long Earthquake. When I feel tremors in Japan, I trust the buildings because they're built to absorb Earthquakes. LA buildings, not so much…
