De Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences heeft de nominaties voor de 94e Academy Awards bekendgemaakt. Jane Campions The Power of the Dog krijgt met twaalf stuks de meeste nominaties, gevolgd door Denis Villeneuves Dune met tien stuks en Steven Spielbergs West Side Story met zeven stuks.

Laura Wandels Un monde, de Belgische Oscarinzending, is niet bij de vijf finalisten in de categorie Beste Internationale Film en moet de duimen leggen voor onder meer Drive My Car uit Japan en The Worst Person in the World uit Noorwegen.
