Jon Favreau’s Elf staat op de derde plaats in de Amerikaanse box-officelijst en doet het ook goed op de Amerikaanse VOD-platformen. De kerstklassieker staat namelijk in de top tien van de platformen Apple TV, FandangoNOW, Spectrum en Google Play.

Ook kerstfilms als The Grinch, Fatman, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation en The Polar Express scoren op verschillende platformen.

Verder komen de coronathriller Songbird en de romcom Wild Mountain Thyme binnen op de respectievelijk vierde en achtste plaats op FandangoNow, mogelijk door hun hoge huurprijs van 19,99 dollar. FandangoNow rangschikt films volgens totaalopbrengst.

Daarnaast haalde de neowestern Let Him Go met Diane Lane en Kevin Costner ondanks zijn prijskaartje van 19,99 dollar de eerste plek op Spectrum, waar films worden gerangschikt volgens het aantal keer dat ze werden gehuurd.

Op Netflix moet nieuwkomer The Prom de duimen leggen voor de actiethriller Ava met Jessica Chastain. David Finchers Mank valt dan weer uit de top tien.
