Eerste Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City-reacties online
Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, een reboot van de Resident Evil-filmreeks, is vanaf 8 december te zien in de Belgische bioscopen en nu staan de eerste reacties online.
As far as video game movies go, #ResidentEvil #WelcometoRaccoonCity is solid. Feels like ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13 in the RE universe, has a few killer set pieces & Johannes Roberts creates palpable atmospheric dread that lingers throughout. So many RE/general horror nods too! pic.twitter.com/xbYLjRFpqq

As a fan, I enjoyed #ResidentEvil #WelcomeToRaccoonCity! The entire theater raved during major set pieces. The trailers and clips DONT do it justice. Zombies & LisaTrevor were extremely badass. Ending felt rushed thats my only gripe. Felt like a #JohnCarpenter film for sure! pic.twitter.com/xpOHbznVnk

Resident Evil: #WelcomeToRaccoonCity is incredibly faithful to the games, but ultimately tries to squeeze too much into its runtime leaving it feeling rushed. Everything looks the part, including the well-cast actors, yet there's just none of the game's terror or tension. pic.twitter.com/CklXCNJkvl

RESIDENT EVIL: WELCOME TO RACCOON CITY may not be perfect but god damn was it a blast. Killer soundtrack, atmospheric as fuck, and lots and lots and lots of gore! #ResidentEvil #WelcomeToRaccoonCity pic.twitter.com/TDbnSzPqAE

Quick #ResidentEvil post-screening thoughts!
It respects the games as much as the trailer suggests. Works well when ramping tension through tight mansion combat. Owes plenty to RE1’s virtual cinematography. Not perfect, but works? pic.twitter.com/OfwP1uwCDC

RESIDENT EVIL: WELCOME TO RACCOON CITY is a good time. The script is underwhelming to say the least, but it has a great 90s action horror camp vibe to it, loads of gore & tons of fun references for the fans
Far from perfect but I enjoyed it…#WelcomeToRaccoonCity #ResidentEvil pic.twitter.com/sszvIDNH93

#ResidentEvil: #WelcomeToRaccoonCity has a tactile scuzzy, gritty aesthetic that enhances 70s-inspired narrative underpinnings. Video game fans will eat up all the Easter Eggs. Neal McDonough goes BIG. And it’s got my favorite use of Jennifer Paige’s “Crush” (I cackled). pic.twitter.com/LPaQGxeEp2

#ResidentEvil: Welcome To Raccoon City sticks to the source material and doesn’t try to reinvent the Video Game Film genre. Not a perfect movie but I wasn’t upset with my time watching it.

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City is exactly what I needed it to be, capturing the early games' spirit. It tries to squeeze too much in — Hannah John-Kamen's Jill is underused — but this is a silly adventure I'll revisit regularly. Full review @CNET next Tuesday. pic.twitter.com/DNQPx4b19h

Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City is… oof. Was hoping for something different and better than the other movies, but instead it's boring and looks like it was made with a $50 budget. Start lowering your expectations now and you MAY like it more than I did… but I doubt it. pic.twitter.com/V4cj0AXDpi

“Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City” wasn’t all that bad.
Too slow of a build up tho & it felt incomplete.
But it’s nice the focus moved away from Alice & on to other fan fav characters.#ResidentEvilWelcometoRaccoonCity #avanjogia #KayaScodelario #ResidentEvil #RaccoonCity pic.twitter.com/kVedZOsPjL— Rama's Screen (@RamasScreen) November 19, 2021
If you played #ResidentEvil, #ResidentEvilWelcometoRaccoonCity was made for you. There were moments in the movie where I felt like I was standing IN the game. Director Johannes Roberts is a rabid fan. The rest of the movie moves slow, but Kaya Scodelario continues to kick ass. pic.twitter.com/APep0cRVTQ
