Als we de filmpers mogen geloven lijkt Bumblebee een kantelpunt te worden voor de Transformers-franchise.

De spin-off van Travis Knight (Kubo and the Two Strings) wordt de beste aflevering uit de reeks genoemd en zou grappig en hartverwarmend zijn. Ook het acteerwerk van hoofdrolspeelster Hailee Steinfeld wordt geprezen.
