In de categorie Beste Performance is Riz Ahmed uit de Belgische coproductie Sound of Metal als winnaar uit de bus gekomen. Ahmed haalt het onder meer van Frances McDormand (Nomadland) en Chadwick Boseman (Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom).

Sound of Metal belandt ook op zes in de top tien van beste debuutfilms en moet Promising Young Woman, The Vast of Night, The 40-Year-Old Version en One Night in Miami aan zich laten voorbijgaan.
