De actiethriller Ava met Jessica Chastain is in België te zien op het grote scherm, maar in de VS enkel op video-on-demand. Dat blijkt geen slechte beslissing te zijn geweest.

In zijn tweede week behaalde Ava namelijk de eerste plaats op de VOD-platformen Apple TV, Spectrum en Google Play en de tweede op FandangoNow.

Ava is met uitzondering van premium VOD-titels zoals Trolls World Tour de eerste film sinds het begin van de coronacrisis die daarin slaagt.

Met andere woorden is Ava een nog groter succes dan eerdere VOD-hits zoals The Outpost, The Tax Collector en Robin Pronts The Silencing.
