Andy Serkis las onlangs voor het goede doel J.R.R. Tolkiens The Hobbit in één marathonsessie van elf uur voor en zamelde ruim 350.000 dollar in.

Nu heeft de acteur, die Gollum vertolkte in The Lord of the Rings– en The Hobbit-trilogieën, ook een nieuwe audioversie van het boek ingesproken.

Het audioboek verschijnt in september en ondertussen staat een voorsmaakje online.
