Gisterenavond werd Zondag de negenste van Kat Steppe na zijn wereldpremière op het filmfestival van Tallinn gelauwerd met een Special Jury Prize voor Best Editing door monteur Jan Van Der Weken.

“Moving between past and present in a non-linear timeline, the film lets us feel the lead character’s confusion”, klonk het bij de jury. “His violent outbursts, frustration and anger, and the childhood wounds that never left him. Yet somehow, through all this chaos, we watch him connect with a surprising new life, one in which he faces a lifetime of pain, finding his footing again, and discovering new strengths, independence and even love.”
