James Gunn castte heel wat Guardians of the Galaxy-acteurs in The Suicide Squad, waaronder zijn broer Sean Gunn, Michael Rooker en Sylvester Stallone.

Volgens Gunn bevat The Suicide Squad echter één geheime cameo van een Guardians of the Galaxy-actrice die niemand tot nu toe heeft opgemerkt.

De entertainmentnieuwssite /Film viste het uit en ontdekte dat Pom Klementieff, die Mantis speelt in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, kort te zien is in The Suicide Squad als een danseres in een nachtclub.
