Verschillende Netflix-gebruikers hebben op sociale media geklaagd dat er in sommige scènes van Zack Snyders Army of the Dead twee tot drie defecte pixels of witte puntjes te zien zijn.

Sommigen dachten aanvankelijk dat hun tv stuk was tot bleek dat meerdere mensen hetzelfde probleem ervaarden. Anderen grapten dat Snyder de film beter Army of the Dead Pixels had genoemd.

Volgens een Reddit-gebruiker had een van de camera’s waar Snyder mee werkte een kapotte sensor. Snyder nam zowel de regie als de cinematografie van de zombiefilm voor zijn rekening.

Anderen wijzen er dan weer op dat er ook defecte pixels opdoken in de Netflix-film Extraction en -series Jupiter’s Legacy en Shadow and Bone.

Een grafisch expert bij een gerenommeerd visual effects-bedrijf zegt dat er verschillende verklaringen zijn voor defecte pixels, maar voegt eraan toe dat het onwaarschijnlijk is dat ze niet tijdens de postproductie werden opgemerkt.
