Zijn dit de 100 beste komedies aller tijden?

“Wat zijn de tien beste komedies aller tijden?” Dat is de vraag die de cultuurredactie van de BBC stelde aan 253 filmcritici – 118 vrouwen en 135 mannen – uit 52 landen en 6 continenten.

Wat blijkt? Mannen en vrouwen hebben grotendeels dezelfde smaak inzake de lachfilm.

Tegelijk is humor duidelijk geen universele aangelegenheid: de verschillen tussen de verschillende continenten is groot. Niet zo raar als je bedenkt dat humor vaak taalgebonden is.

Verder bevat de lijst films uit alle momenten van de filmgeschiedenis: Toni Erdmann uit 2016 is de recentste, Safety Last! uit 1923 de oudste.
